The
floor tile pictured above is a stone called gold travertine. Other names for the
same stone color is oro and yellow. If you notice, the color is more of a reddish
rust hue. Different similar colors may have different names depending what country
the travertine is quarried. Travertine is quarried in some parts of the United
States, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, Peru. The main supply of this stone is quarried
in a region of Italy, called Tuscany.
Sizes
Depending
on origin of country tile size vary from 12" x 12" to 24" x 24"
Custom ordered tiles are also available. The tiles can be more expensive when
ordering larger than the floor tile size
Colors
Travertine
stone comes in a variety of warm colors and rich tones for your floor. Some of
the color shades are light cream (ivory), beige, walnut, chocolate (noche), and
of course as shown above gold (yellow/oro/ - reddish rust).
