Idaho
is the 11th largest state (83,557 square miles) in the United States with a population
of over 1,429,000 (2005 estimate). It is also one of the fastest growing states
in the country only being surpassed by Nevada, Utah, Georgia and Arizona. Climate
Climate
Idaho enjoys a four-season climate, but weather conditions in the higher elevations
of the mountains can be unpredictable.. The average summer high temperature across
the State of Idaho is at 64 degrees, dropping to around 30 degrees in winter.
Along the Snake River Plain (or Valley) the summers' are generally warm (seldom
hot). Evenings are cool, and July and August are considered perfect by most. In
late fall the weather is much cooler and winter conditions can be snowy. In the
higher elevations and mountains across the entire state weather condition are
cooler throughout the year, with cold and snowy conditions in the fall and the
