The planning process, in regards to building home, is an integral part of the
project. Decisions are made from the square footage of the house to the placement
of the stairs. Working with a home builder at this stage is an exciting part of
the process. As a home builder, Patagonia - Idaho Homes wants your home to truly
reflect the lifestyle and the aesthetic reflection of your needs and tastes.
The
Initial Consultation Which comes first, lot or floor plan? Before securing
your lot sit down and go through some preliminary plans whish are available in
books, the library or the Internet. These plans will give you some ideas and a
basic concepts of what you want with your custom home. These plans, are often
a starting point, in which numerous provisions are made to the final custom building
plans. Patagonia - Idaho Homes will be extremely helpful in assisting you at this
stage. We may make suggestions and introduce fresh ideas into the building of
your home. The
Cost of Your Home The cost of your custom home is accomplished by arriving
at a rough cost estimate that is established by reviewing the plans and the home
owners preference. This square footage and pricing is only an approximate of the
final cost. At this time, the rough cost estimate will fit your desired budget.
Questionnaire
and Secured Bids The next step is to prepare an exact price for your custom
built home. To determine the features and exact price, a detailed questionnaire
is discussed. At this stage specific preferences are paramount. Material options
and quality materials are discussed and determined. Once the preferences are known,
bids are secured from the contractors and suppliers. A final price of the home
is established, a contract is signed and the final detailed provisions are made
to the plans. At this time, work commences, permits are obtained from relevant
jurisdictions, excavation begins and the foundation for the house starts. Interior/Exterior
Selections The next process begins with a Patagonia - Idaho Homes designer.
They will work on your kitchen cabinet layout, windows and door openings, roof
specifications, type of siding and other exterior/interior selections. Final
Stage At the final stage, occupancy permits are issued, the final completion
are performed and a final walk through is done. After the final detail vision
of the home is completed, we will show the new homeowner how everything works.
We then, welcome you to your new home by Patagonia Idaho Homes, a quality Idaho
