Meridian
Meridian
is the fifth largest city in Idaho with a population of 66,565 (Meridian Chamber
of Commerce 2005 statistics). Approximately 11 miles form he city of Boise, Meridian
is located in Ada County and is part of the Treasure Valley Metropolitan area
of Boise. History
The
town Meridian was established in 1893 and incorporated in 1903. The early settlers
used the fertile ground to plant fruit orchards and the first dairy farm and creamery
was established in  1897.
Part of this heritage continues today and is celebrated annually in June with
the Meridian Dairy Days event. Outdoor
Activities
With
close proximity to an array of outdoor activities, the residents of Meridian enjoy
the many recreational ammonites that are available. Excellent snow skiing is available
within a few hours driving distance. Fishing, golfing, rafting and other outdoor
activities are also available within minutes of the town's center. Moving
